About
The former Fire Services building, currently repurposed as a museum, is part of series of institutional buildings, built across the peninsula to create the basis to promote and organize urbanization. Purposely designed for the fire service, it’s an iconic neoclassical building with extensive but stylized detailing. Organized in three volumes with a central part dominated by large doors for fire engines ornamented with horizontally stripped friezes, it was built in the early 1920’s and renovated in 1990’s.
