About

Guia Lighthouse was built in 1865 alongside with the earlier Guia Chapel, inside Guia fortress built from 1622-1638. It was built on the highest point of the peninsula, being the first modern lighthouse installed in the Chinese coast. It is located at 22.1987° N, 113.5439° E, the official geographic coordinates of Macau. Continuously serving as a navigational aid until this day. The tower has three-stories and 15 meters height, being accessible through an interior spiral staircase and toped by the light transmitter surrounded by circular observation platform.
