About

Lou Kau Mansion is a rare Chinese traditional mansion built in a central and proeminent location surrounded by western inspired architecture. Built in 1889 as a detached urban courtyard house, it has two-storeys, with a symmetrical layout with three main blocks and two courtyards in between. It is built in grey bricks and displays an imposing scale but sober decoration on the façade, revealing a rich and sophisticated detailing on its interior.
