Pooi To Kindergarten

Pooi To Kindergarten was originally a three-storey neoclassical building constructed between 1910 and 1920. The fourth-storey was added to the building at the end of the 1960s for the use as a hall. The building was initially a private house and was only taken up by Pooi To Middle School in 1955. The design of verandah of each storey is different. Meanwhile, a balcony is attached to the three middle openings on the third-storey and the verandah has been preserved. The interior of the building has preserved the original design and materials, in particular the middle wooden staircase at the entrance hall. The floor patterns in some classrooms have also been preserved.
