About

Built in the 1870’s the building is sustained on a granite basement that regularizes the sloped terrain creating a solid platform to support a grand neoclassical architecture marked by the exterior arcade façade and by the interior central staircase, creating an elegant spatial circulation throughout the building. It served as residence, school and gained notoriety as the Bela Vista Hotel, it is currently the Official residency of the Portuguese Consul in Macau and Hong Kong.
