About
Built as a residential mansion in the early 20th century from 1904 until 1925, it served as the Lou’s family private house. Lou Kau’s eldest son, Lou Lim Iok, hired Liu Ji-liu to design this residential garden. Since 1938, the building was converted in school and part of the campus of the Pui Ching Middle School. It was built in concrete following a neoclassical architectural language with eclectic details and four different facades establishing different relations with the surroundings. The interior uses eastern and western decorative motifs respecting Feng shui traditions.
