About
Tung Sin Tong main building is located at Rua Camilo Pessanha, the three-storey building was built in 1924, and saw its interior rebuilt numerous times to adapt to different demands. The building incorporates and synthesizes several eastern and western influences, displaying a neoclassical composition with eclectic details and abundant eastern motifs and materials. The lobby on the ground floor has a six-grid turtle-shaped floor tiles symbolizing good fortune which was common in the past. Tung Sin Tong is a time-honored charity association in Macau offering free medical services. The building is currently housed by a clinic and the Tung Sin Tong Historical Archive Exhibition Hall.
